Laser handpiece and applicator refurbishment — explore the service scope and quotation terms.
Problem: the handpiece surface was not cooling correctly
A client in Poznań reported a fault with the ESTETECH laser handpiece’s contact cooling. The treatment surface had stopped cooling adequately, preventing normal handpiece use. Contact cooling helps control skin temperature during treatment, improves comfort and reduces the risk of unwanted thermal effects.
On-site diagnostics in Poznań
Laser Tech Service specialists attended the client’s premises. Diagnostics identified a faulty thermoelectric Peltier module. When supplied with current, this component transfers heat from the cooled side to the side from which the rest of the system removes it.
For this job, module failure was confirmed as the cause of inadequate cooling. However, the symptom alone does not identify a TEC fault in every device: similar problems can have other causes and require professional diagnostics. We do not specify the cause of the module’s own failure without further evidence.
Peltier module replacement and maintenance
The laser handpiece repair included the following work by the service team:
- Removal of the handpiece housing.
- Access to the contact cooling assembly.
- Removal of the faulty thermoelectric module.
- Preparation of the contact surfaces.
- Installation of a new compatible Peltier module.
- Renewal of the thermal paste to ensure proper thermal contact.
- Restoration of the electrical connections.
- Handpiece reassembly.
- Device maintenance.
- Checks of device operation and cooling.
The photographs show access to the handpiece interior, the dismantled cooling assembly and work on the wiring. They document a service job and are not instructions for replacing the module yourself.
Result: cooling and device operation restored
After replacing the faulty Peltier module and completing maintenance, we restored the cooling function. The ESTETECH device returned to service. The on-site visit allowed the repair to be completed in Poznań without transporting the entire device to a workshop.
Why does assessing the whole system matter?
The article on Peltier modules and faulty handpiece cooling explains how a TEC works, the role of the thermal interface and possible causes of similar symptoms. We tailor diagnostics, aesthetic laser repairs, handpiece repairs and maintenance to the individual device.
Another cooling problem is documented in the fan replacement case study from Wrocław. Scheduled maintenance is discussed in the article on cooling system fluid. Indicative costs are available in our aesthetic equipment servicing price list.
