## Which symptoms require CO₂ laser diagnostics?
Power supply, control, source and optical path faults can cause similar symptoms. A lack of emission alone does not establish source damage; the relevant circuit needs diagnostics.
### The CO₂ laser will not start
A lack of response requires assessment of incoming power, connections and control systems.
### No laser emission
We check emission readiness conditions and the control circuit. A connection or trigger signal may also be responsible.
### Reduced output power
The source, power supply and optical condition need assessment. Screen values do not replace checks of actual parameters.
### Unstable fractional scanning
Incorrect scanner operation requires diagnostics of its mechanism, controls and model-specific functions.
### Beam path problem
Incorrect beam transmission through the optical system requires component inspection and alignment according to the documentation.
### Overheating and error messages
Electronics or cooling errors and excessive temperature require assessment of the relevant systems. Do not continue operating with alarms contrary to manufacturer instructions.
## CO₂ laser service scope
### CO₂ laser source diagnostics and repair
We diagnose the source and its power supply and identify causes of unstable generation. We repair or replace faulty components where technically possible. We do not promise to refurbish a sealed source whose design does not permit repair.
### Optical system servicing and alignment
We inspect mirrors and lenses, clean components with suitable products and check the beam path. Alignment follows manufacturer documentation. Correct optical alignment matters for stable transmission along the designed path.
### Fractional CO₂ scanner diagnostics and calibration
We check the scanning mechanism, controls and scanner operation. Calibration follows the documentation where the model supports it. It may be charged separately according to the price list; scope and cost are confirmed before work.
### CO₂ laser cooling and operating parameter checks
We diagnose cooling and check fans, sensors and other design-specific components. We clean the device, check output parameters and test operation after repair. We account for differences between air and liquid cooling.
## How do we service a CO₂ laser?
1. ### Report the model and symptoms
Describe device response, messages, scanner operation and when the problem appeared.
2. ### Identify the fault source
We check the relevant systems: power, controls, source, optics or cooling.
3. ### Establish feasibility and quotation
We determine required parts, repair feasibility and available alignment or calibration procedures. Costs are agreed before work.
4. ### Repair and maintenance
We carry out the approved scope. We do not replace diagnosis with automatic source or scanner replacement.
5. ### Check parameters and operation
We test the device after repair according to its design; additional calibration is performed within the agreed scope.

## Laser Tech Service's approach to CO₂
### Checking the signal and beam paths
We distinguish trigger, power, source and optical problems. A lack of pedal response does not automatically mean the pedal needs replacing.
### Working within design limitations
We assess documentation, parts availability and safe repair feasibility. We do not claim to restore every source or calibrate every scanner.
### Checking the result of technical work
After repair, we check how the serviced systems operate together rather than stopping at component installation.

### How much does CO₂ laser repair cost?
Prices start at EUR 330. The final amount depends on diagnostics, work and parts. The price list gives an indicative EUR 330–495 plus parts, without a guaranteed maximum. Travel is charged separately.
### Is calibration at EUR 440 included in repair?
It is not automatically included in repair from EUR 330. Calibration is a separate EUR 440 price list item. Its availability and scope, including for fractional scanners, are established according to the model and documentation.
### Can every CO₂ source be repaired?
No. Repair feasibility depends on design, damage and parts availability. We do not promise to restore a sealed source whose design does not allow repair; replacement may be necessary.
### What does no emission when pressing the pedal mean?
The problem may involve readiness conditions, connections, controls, power or the source. We check the circuit and cause first. In the documented Poznań case, the pedal worked and the cable required replacement.
### Why align CO₂ laser optics?
Mirror and component alignment determines correct beam transmission through the optical path. Inspection and alignment follow the documentation and account for optical condition. Cleaning alone does not replace alignment assessment.
### Do you repair and calibrate fractional scanners?
We diagnose the scanner mechanism and controls and assess repair options. Calibration is possible if the model supports it and the appropriate manufacturer procedure is available. Cost is agreed before work.
### Are all CO₂ lasers water-cooled?
No. Designs use air or liquid cooling. Checks of fans, sensors and the coolant circuit, where fitted, must match the specific design.
### Are diagnostics and travel included in repair?
