Unique Light System E808

A new customer in Prague reported no cooling and a “Water flow error” message despite coolant being present. We repaired the pump motor and restored circulation without purchasing a new assembly.

## Fault symptoms

The Unique Light System E808 contained coolant, but the cooling system was not working. Its display showed “Water flow error”. The service request concerned a laser hair removal device with a liquid cooling system.

## On-site diagnosis

A Laser Tech Service technician travelled to the customer in Prague and checked the circulation system. The fault was in the pump motor’s brush and commutator assembly: the carbon brushes were damaged.

## Repair work

1. Diagnosed the cooling system.
2. Removed the circulation pump.
3. Disassembled the electric motor.
4. Replaced the damaged carbon brushes.
5. Cleaned the commutator and internal components.
6. Reassembled the motor and pump.
7. Installed the repaired pump.
8. Filled the cooling system with coolant.
9. Started the device and checked its operation.

## Repair outcome

Repairing the pump restored coolant circulation and the device is working again. Reusing the repaired assembly saved the customer the expense of buying a new pump.
